Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Atelier Anaiis is located in Old City. The address to our calm, greenery-filled nail salon is 122 N 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

What are your hours?

We are open every day from 10am to 6pm by appointment.

Do you take walk-ins?

We are by-appointment-only, except on Fridays and select Saturdays when we open the doors to our Old City nail salon for walk-in appointments - please note that walk-in appointments are limited to Cuticle Care and Structured Gel Manicure services only. While we understand that this could be frustrating if you happen to be in Old City just for the day or have a nail emergency, our number one priority is our clients’ nail health - being by-appointment-only allows us to be best prepared, so that you can get the most out of our services.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment as a first-time client, please visit our Contact page and fill out our intake form under “First Time Application.”

How long can I expect an appointment to take?

Appointment times vary widely depending on the condition of your nails, cuticles, and intricacy of the Nail Art design. Approximate minimum timings are provided below, with Nail Art having the most range in appointment times. Please note that our priority is the preservation and restoration of your natural nails and additional time will always be needed if you have nail damage, so that we can best care for them.

Cuticle Care: ~45 minutes

Structured Gel Manicure: ~90 to 120 minutes

Soft Gel Extensions: ~150 minutes

Nail Art: 150+ minutes

How are products soaked off?

We do not soak off products from other nail salons. We never use e-files at Atelier Anaiis, specializing in the preservation and restoration of our clients’ natural nails. Products are soaked off using hand picked non-invasive products and nail shaping is done using hand files. To learn more about why we never use e-files, please visit our blog post, Nail Health and How to Heal Nails.

What kind of products do you use?

We exclusively use gel nail polish, creating an environment free of toxic fumes. We do not carry regular nail polish, acrylic powders, or dip powder.

I want to get French nails but I don’t see it on your menu. How do I book for it?

At Atelier Anaiis, French nails are categorized as Nail Art. When filling out our intake form under “First Time Application” please choose Nail Art.

French nail designs are far from simple in the precision they require. Additionally, we never do French nails on clients with damaged nails, due to the additional weight being placed at the nail tips, which could lead to unfortunate events like bending of the nail, cracking of the nail, and peeling of the nail polish. To learn more about French nails, you can read The Ultimate Guide to French Nails.

How much does it cost to get French nails at Atelier Anaiis?

French nails are categorized as Nail Art at Atelier Anaiis, with pricing dependent on the intricacies of the specific design you have in mind. For an exact quote, please fill out our intake-form for first time clients, where you will be able to send us inspiration photos of the design you are looking for.

Am I a good candidate for Nail Art?

Nail health is a journey. In our discussions with clients prior to their first time visit, should their goals include growing long, healthy natural nails, we will craft a specific nail health plan so that the end result can be Nail Art on your natural nails. This will typically include postponing Nail Art to allow for the rehabilitation of your natural nails so that there isn’t an unnecessary over-reliance on Soft Gel Extensions, which could stress the natural nails over time.

Do you provide pedicure services?

At this time, we do not provide pedicure services for new clients.

As a first-time client, what etiquette is expected of me?

Many of our clients are busy professionals and young mothers, and their appointment with us is the only time that they can be alone with their thoughts. Please refrain from phone calls. You are welcome to bring headphones to your nail appointment.

What are the consequences of lateness or not showing up to an appointment?

We maintain a grace-period of fifteen minutes for lateness, after which the appointment is considered a no-show. Our cancellation policy is 24 hours - both no-shows and cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in the full service price being charged to your card on file. Please note that any amount of lateness will cause a chain reaction to our schedule, and can lead to discussions regarding changes to the original service so that we are not late for our next client.

Where can I find information on your nail health processes?
